St. George’s Society of New York Honors Alastair Borthwick and Brian Duperreault at the 2026 British Ball
St. George’s Society of New York (SGSNY) is pleased to honor Alastair Borthwick and Brian Duperreault at their upcoming British Ball being held on Wednesday, April 29th at The Plaza. Mr. Borthwick will receive the Medal of Honor for his exceptional service to international business and community, and Mr. Duperrault will receive the Commonwealth Award in recognition of his significant contributions to the Commonwealth community. The British Ball proudly recognizes its Presenting Sponsor, Bank of America, and its Gold Sponsor, American International Group, Inc.

Member Spotlight: Colette Carruthers
Originally from Glasgow, Colette moved to New York after a decade in London and now advises FTSE 500 companies. She works with financial institutions globally on data and AI strategy and front-office transformation.
A former field hockey player, she now splits her time between training for Hyrox and walking her puppy, who generally has the final say on pace and direction. Based in NYC, Colette enjoys watching rugby, seeking out a proper pub, and is quietly working her way through all 50 U.S. states.

Josh Turner is the founder of Stand4 Socks, a social enterprise and certified B Corp that makes premium socks with a mission: for every pair sold, Stand4 donates a pair to someone experiencing homelessness. Originally founded in the UK, Stand4 has expanded into the U.S. while continuing to combine bold design, comfort-focused sock technology, and measurable social impact. Josh now lives in New York with his wife and dog (socks the mini dachshund!) and is passionate about building community through purpose-driven business.
