Alastair Borthwick Joins Advisory Council
We are delighted to announce that Alastair Borthwick has joined the St. George’s Society of New York Advisory Council.
Alastair Borthwick is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Bank of America. He is also a member of the company’s executive management team.
Prior to his current position, Alastair was President of Global Commercial Banking from 2012-2021. He also served as Managing Director and Co-Head of Global Capital Markets, and Head of Global Investment Grade Debt Capital Markets. Alastair joined Bank of America in 2005 after 12 years at Goldman Sachs.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Alastair graduated from the University of St. Andrews, where he majored in economics and statistics. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College and is a member of Tuck’s Board of Advisors.
Alastair and his wife Jeanine met at the Tuck school, and other than four wonderful years in London, they have lived most of their married lives in New York. Their family is proud to be British and American.
Alastair is Chair of the Board of Directors of BritishAmerican Business, the leading transatlantic trade association incorporating the British-American Chamber of Commerce in the US and the American Chamber of Commerce in the UK. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Posse Foundation.
Alastair was also this year’s honoree at the British Ball, where he was presented with the Medal of Honor.
