A Night of Historic Generosity: The 2026 British Ball at The Plaza
Earlier this week, we reached a magnificent milestone at the 2026 British Ball, hosted within the iconic Grand Ballroom of The Plaza. We are profoundly grateful to announce that the event raised a staggering $1.2 million, ensuring the continued success of our mission to support New York’s most vulnerable populations. This milestone was made possible through the steadfast commitment of our guests and the visionary support of our Presenting Sponsor, Bank of America.
A pivotal moment of the evening occurred during our pledge appeal, which raised a record-breaking over $400,000. The funds are dedicated to our Scholarship Program, empowering high-achieving students at CUNY schools who are either first-generation Americans and/or first-generation college students.
The gala also served as a platform to honor the exceptional contributions of two industry leaders. Alastair Borthwick and Brian Duperreault were recognized for their exemplary leadership and enduring philanthropic impact, embodying the Society's values of service that have defined it for over 250 years.
We extend our deepest thanks to all who attended and contributed to this historic success. As we look back on an evening of elegance and purpose, we invite you to view the full event gallery.
