SGSNY Welcomes 25 Students to Scholarship Program for 2021-22 Year

We are pleased to announce that 25 CUNY students from across NYC's five boroughs have been selected to receive scholarships for the 2021-2022 academic year. Established in 2008, SGSNY’s Scholarship Program seeks to close the education and opportunity gap by providing critical financial aid and professional development opportunities to final-year students from historically underserved communities. This year’s cohort represents 11 Commonwealth nations and an exciting range of academic disciplines including nursing, anthropology, accounting, digital media and social work. We are deeply saddened to share the passing of longtime supporter of St. George’s Society, William R. Miller CBE KStJ. Bill served as President of the Society from 2001 to 2003 and remained a member of the Society’s Advisory Council until his passing. Under his presidency, the Society founded what is now the Queen Elizabeth II September 11th Garden—of which he was Chairman Emeritus.
