This summer, Lehman College hosted a special reception celebrating its 10-year partnership with the Society through the Scholarship Program. The event welcomed leaders from both the St George’s Society and Lehman communities.

We are pleased to present the 2018 Annual Report featuring the Society’s activities and achievements in 2017.

Thanks to funds raised at this year's English Ball, the Society awarded 36 scholarships totaling $149,880 to final-year students at Lehman and Hunter Colleges for the 2018/19 academic year.

St. George's Society hosted its annual gala, the English Ball, on St. George's Day at the Mandarin Oriental in New York City. Thanks to the generosity of our guests, we raised a record-breaking $151,776 on the night for the Society’s Scholarship Program.

In Natalie’s home country of Jamaica, college was just a dream but after immigrating to America, it became a reality. Thanks to the St. George’s Society scholarship, Natalie will graduate with her BA in Biology in May–putting her one step closer to her lifelong ambition to become a doctor.

Team SGSNY ran the Armory NYC Indoor Marathon Relay on 17th March. With a 2nd place finish, they raised more than $1,300 for the Society's charitable programs.

April is an exciting month for us as we celebrate St. George’s Day, but who was Saint George and why do we celebrate him? 

This year, St. George’s Society will launch a partnership with UK charity Solving Kids’ Cancer providing practical and logistical support to families of children visiting New York from the UK for clinical trials and treatment.

Four-year-old Lottie has been fighting a battle against high-risk neuroblastoma for more than two years. In order to prevent relapse, Lottie’s family—who are based in the UK—raised enough funds to enroll her in clinical trials at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York.

We are delighted to announce the addition of four new members to St. George’s Society’s Board of Directors. Kasia Bannon, JoAnne Davidson, David Martinelli and Neil Smith were elected to serve a three year term at the Society’s recent Annual General Meeting.
