Networking at the 2026 Scholar Reception

SGSNY Scholars at the Scholar Reception 2026

On Tuesday, February 10 we celebrated our 2026 Scholar Reception, which made for a memorable evening bringing together our current cohort of Scholars, inspiring alumni and the wider SGSNY community for a night of connection and celebration.

The event created a welcoming space for our current Scholars to meet program supporters and alumni, to share their stories, and begin building meaningful professional relationships. With graduation just around the corner this spring, these conversations and the opportunity to take professional headshots offered valuable practice in networking and confidence-building as Scholars prepare to enter the job market.

We were delighted to welcome just over 80 attendees to the beautiful home of our generous hosts, former SGSNY President John C. Harvey and Kazie Harvey. Their continued support and hospitality once again made this special evening possible, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to them for opening their doors and helping us create such a warm and successful event.

An especially rewarding part of the night was hearing directly from our Scholars about how much the experience meant to them. Their feedback highlights the real impact of the program and the importance of bringing our community together:

“It was such a wonderful experience to be able to meet the amazing people who made it possible for me and my many colleagues to complete our education. Networking opened some unexpected doors for me that I never thought possible.”

Seeing our students build confidence and form lasting connections reminded us why this program is so important. We are very proud of our Scholars and grateful to our supporters who make these opportunities possible.

We look forward to continuing this tradition and celebrating many more milestones together in the years to come.
