Eden's Visit to Chinatown

Earlier this week, two of our colleagues Patrick and Katie had the pleasure of meeting the incredible Eden (9), her sister Tia (11), and dad Lee. The Smith family are in the city for a handful of days so Eden can receive her treatment from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

This trip is one of a series of trips the family will be making across the pond to receive this treatment. Having never visited Chinatown before, Eden was keen to check it out. So, the group went to a fun ice cream shop that sold ‘mr whippy’ style ice cream in unicorn and fish shaped cones!

Afterwards, they spent time exploring the area, the many shops around there, and even soaked up some rays in Columbus Park.Patrick and Katie were delighted to finally meet with Eden, who is such a brave and strong girl, and we look forward to welcoming them back to the city this coming winter.
