250 YEARS OF KINDNESS

St. George’s Society of New York’s long tradition of good works has been a consistent thread in the ever-changing fabric of New York and we continue to flourish in the heart of the Big Apple.

Whether someone elderly is facing eviction from their apartment because they can’t afford to pay the rent; whether a student is forced to drop out of college because they don’t have the funds to complete their studies; or whether a family in crisis has nowhere else to turn, St. George’s Society is a place our community can come for help.

OUR GOAL: $2.5 MILLION

At our core, we are a community of people helping people—providing care, comfort and kindness when it is needed most. Your support to help us reach our goal is crucial to ensuring a brighter future for the people who depend on us.

Our Objectives

  • Establish adequate funding to sustain our core programs and services and expand our reach during tough economic times

  • Respond to the increasing needs of the elderly population and sustain our levels and quality of services for our Beneficiary Program

  • Expand the Scholarship Program to CUNY institutions across all five New York City boroughs

  • Build the capacity of the Weatherstone Families Support Fund to assist the growing number of families in our program and broaden strategic partnerships with other nonprofit organizations

  • Strengthen our infrastructure to generate increased private funding to support our growing client base and services
