St. George's Society Awards Scholarships to 24 Students for the 20/21 Academic Year
We are pleased to announce that 24 students from Lehman and Hunter Colleges will receive scholarships for the 2020-2021 academic year. The Society’s Scholarship Program serves as an engine of social mobility and equality for inspired but under-resourced students and now more than ever, they need our help. For all of our recipients, the award represents a chance at a brighter future.
The Birthday Gift that Keeps on Giving
St. George’s Society Board member, Mark Aiston, was saddened when he had to cancel his 60th birthday celebrations because of social distancing measures in place during the pandemic. But then he “turned a disappointing situation into something hopeful” when he asked his friends and family to donate to St. George’s Society in lieu of gifts raising over $1200 for The Weatherstone Families Support Fund.

Office Reopening Plans
Now, under Phase Two of New York State’s reopening plan, St. George’s Society’s office is permitted to reopen. The safety of our employees and the communities we serve remains our biggest priority as we navigate a return to the workspace.

Jason taught attendees how to make the best Scotch Eggs on this side of the pond along with a little bit of history on the origins of this popular British dish.

For Our Frontlines
In response to the ongoing global health crisis, St. George’s Society collaborated with a member of our Board of Directors to supply scrubs, essential medical attire and other personal protective equipment to medical personnel working on the frontlines in three tri-state area hospitals.

Membership Updates
