Nominations Now Open for 2017 British Leadership Award

Awardee to be honored at 7th Annual British Bash in New York

NEW YORK, NY, 11 September 2017 St. George’s Society of New York in partnership with the UK’s Department for International Trade announced that nominations are now open for the British Leadership Award. The Award will recognize the achievements of an outstanding individual in the British-American business community.

“Every day I am privileged to meet a wealth of British talent contributing to business and the community here in New York” said Ross Allen, Director at Department for International Trade (DIT).  “DIT is delighted to partner with St. George’s Society to recognize an individual that demonstrates how UK leadership is making a positive difference.” 

The recipient will be announced the week of 16th October 2017 and honored at the British Bash on Thursday 30th November 2017 alongside legendary British athlete, Paula Radcliffe MBE, who will receive the Anglo-American Cultural Award.

The judging panel will include Ross Allen; Fiona Macleod, Head of Trade and Investment, UK’s Department for International Trade; Richard Sexton MBE, Chief Executive Officer (Americas), Mountbatten Institute; Anna Titley, Executive Director, St. George’s Society of New York; and Philip Warner OBE, President, St. George’s Society of New York.

“We look forward to reviewing nomination submissions,” said Philip Warner OBE. “It will be an honor to celebrate the passion and excellence of the Award recipient.”
